Organizing Engaging Team-Building Activities to Enhance Employee Productivity and Activity LevelsOversee mainframe operations on z/OS and zTPF, ensuring system stability, efficiency, and uninterrupted service delivery
Utilize workload automation tools such as OPC, JobTrac, CA7, and JSE for scheduling, monitoring, and resolving job issues effectively
Execute critical activities during scheduled maintenance, including IPL execution, time change management, and upgrades for subsystems like DB2, MQ, and Storage, ensuring minimal disruption and seamless operations
Monitor and manage batch cycles for daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly jobs, reporting performance statistics to clients
Perform active console monitoring to identify and resolve alerts related to subsystems such as CICS, DB2, MQ, DASD, and network components, ensuring proactive issue detection and resolution
Manage incident resolution through ServiceNow (SNOW), creating and tracking tickets, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and troubleshooting to resolve production and test LAPRs effectively
Conduct root cause analysis for abends, implementing effective resolutions or escalating issues to ensure timely recovery and minimal impact on operations
Utilize JCL and z/OS commands to support daily operations, enhance system performance, and provide technical expertise for continuous improvements
Ensure that all transaction processing regions are up on time
Participate in periodic meetings with the onsite team for discussing the system status
Prepare check list and documents for Team reference
Execute operational plans and ensure fulfillment of roles and responsibilities as a Shift Lead, overseeing task assignments, monitoring progress, and maintaining adherence to operational standards and procedures
