In-Plant Quality:
I am currently leading a team of members who look after the following.
1. Critical problems reported in Plant
a) Looking after the problems which cause the suspension of dispatch of vehicles to market, 46 problems resolved in previous year through CFT approach using PDCA, FISHBONE,DOE and 4M tools
b) Have successfully resolved 47 critical problems in year 20-21 which were reported by plant inspection team through CFT approach, which includes engineering team, supplier quality team, Production team, inspection team and supply chain team.
2. Process stability and Audits
a) Have worked actively in stabilizing the process quality in Weld, Paint and Assembly shops and improved the direct pass rate from 85% to 94% through KAIZEN and PFMEA.
b) Have developed a process scoring system for process audit to identify the weak area for improvement.
c) Have established Process audit check-sheet based on past failures in market, Plant, New model development and process benchmarking.
3. Finished vehicle Quality
a) Have improved the Handling of Pre dispatch Vehicle through establishing a Post final check Quality handling procedure.
b) Have been handling Quality of finished vehicles in stockyard. 2.25 lacs vehicles were finished vehicles repaired in stockyard year 20-21 with no secondary defects in outflow to the market. Made procedure for each defect being repaired in stockyard.
c) Have resolved the issue of iron fallout being reported from our dealers, which has been the top defect of PDI since last 5 years.
Initial Quality Study:
a) Established a new system for Initial Quality Study survey by calling for MSIL models in Market from 200 customers to 1800 per month.
b) Established a System for Quality Feedback from customers through face to face interaction from 80 to 150 customers per month.
c) Based on the Quality feedbacks, developed a new module and a system for dealer sales person education who will educate the customer with perception problems to improve JD power score.
Export Quality
a) Quality stabilization of vehicles exported to Indonesia.
b) Have worked with production and dispatch team for reducing the defects in export vehicles from 70% direct pass to 90% through establishing stage wise inspection system.
