· Tariff Regulation 19-24 made mandatory 1%/min ramp rate for all thermal stations wef 01.04.20. POSOCO 1st Guidelines for Ramp assessment got almost all eligible sites failing incurring ROE loss of 0.25% in tune of 140 Cr . Issue strongly taken up with POSOCO/CERC and after 2 iterations latest guidelines addresses almost all NTPC grievances and all stations are clearing ramp assessment.
· Operational difficulty petitions filing via CC Commercial like inadequate Part load degradation in SHR& APC and RSD oil compensation in super critical units.
· AGC Pilot implementation in 5 stations and role from SIIS in getting pan NTPC AGC PO award complying CERC orders and follow up its implementation by coordinating among POSOCO/ABB/SITE.
· RGMO testing PAN NTPC: Coordination with Site/POSOCO/SOLVINA for successful testing to avoid 1% ROE reduction. Role in providing 3 level of schedule by RLDCs/POSOCO.
· ECR reductions with provisioning of different types of Coal in SAP leading to more scheduling in WR stations and Kudgi.
· Active Participation in 2 Tariff periods 2014-19 & 2019-24
· Role in Operational Norms recommendation from CEA as a basis for Norms fixation in CERC Regulations
· Relaxed Norms in SHR and APC in 500 MW in Tariff Regulation 19-24 .(15kcal up in SHR , 0.5% up in APC)
· Direct role in getting CEA recommendation for additional APC (0.8%)where Ball &Tube mill(3 stations VSTPSII, TSTPS-I, Unchahar II)
· DSM 4th amendment stipulations regarding impractical Sign change rule was got modified with +/- 20 MW band in SG for compliance. penalty was relaxed too.
· DC restrictions imposed above 100% as per IEGC 5th amendment interpretation was got clarified by CERC . Now any station can give DC above 100%.
· Part load Compensation: Was to be implemented from 15th May 16 but after months of delay, initiative was taken by SIIS to prepare a excel module for billing for Coal and typical Gas. CC Commercial billing group is still using software for both Coal and Gas.
· All India demand/ Generation analysis, state wise scheduling to NTPC and tracking of MOD violation by states.
· Daily keeping track of CERC, RLDCs, CEA, RPCs and MOP sites for latest developments in power sector as well as in Regulatory developments and apprise management in time. Attending CERC hearing related to NTPC having operational background and providing Operational data as well as inputs to CC- Commercial on preparing petitions and giving comments on Draft regulations/approach papers, like Tariff regulation 19-24.
· Study impact of various new orders/regulations by CERC in NTPC and their Implementation in NTPC like RRAS/ AGC/part load compensation/SCED/FRAS/ RTM, by Coordination with NLDC/RLDCs/RPCs as well as with participating NTPC sites.
· Trading of URS power in DAM as well in RTM (intraday) in IEX through NVVN in collaboration with CC-Commercial and NVVN group. Coordination with stations for their capability Vis a Vis consent given by Beneficiaries.
§ Daily All India energy demand monitoring and generation analysis from different sectors (state/IPPs/central). Fuel source wise generation monitoring. All India demand/ Generation analysis, state wise scheduling to NTPC and tracking of MOD violation by states.
· Coordination with external agencies RLDCs/NLDC/CEA and providing desired inputs /data as desired, time to time like POC data for validation committee (attending as well)
