Passive Role:

• Build and maintain a portfolio that closely replicates the composition and weightage of a chosen benchmark index

• Monitor and minimize tracking error, which is the difference between the fund’s performance and the benchmark index’s performance.

• Optimize operational costs to maintain low expense ratios, a key feature of passive funds, ensuring higher net returns for investors.

• Ensure compliance with regulations set by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), including adherence to investment guidelines and ethical standards.

• Rebalance the portfolio periodically to account for changes in the index, such as corporate actions (e.g., stock splits, dividends, or index constituent changes).

• Prepare periodic performance reports for stakeholders, including investors and fund houses, detailing fund performance, tracking error, and other metrics.

• Track index changes, corporate actions, and market developments to ensure the portfolio remains aligned with the benchmark.

• Analyze inflows and outflows to manage liquidity and maintain portfolio alignment.

• Assist in designing new passive investment products, such as ETFs or smart beta funds, based on market trends and investor demand.

• Manage transaction costs arising from rebalancing or trading activities.

Active Role:

• Monitor and Execute buy and sell orders of equity by ensuring price movements

• Communicate and monitor key market developments, trading ideas, regulatory changes, market volatility to CIO / Fund manager

• Strong networks with quality brokers

• Ensure all the trades comply with regulatory standards and Working closely with BO for timely and accurate trades settlement

Prepare morning meeting reports and EOD trades/market reports

• Preparing daily, Monthly reports on market for internal stakeholders.
• Investing in IPO via QIB.

• Trading on calls in prop fund.
• Generating Intraday and Positional Calls in Options & Futures – Index and Stocks.
• Conducting webinars on Options for retail clients & HNI clients.
• Formulating F&O strategy – Hedging or Naked Options.
• Preparing Daily Derivative and Technical morning report.
• Developing Systems on Options.
• Serving to Institutional Clients trading in FO.
• Developing strategies in back testing in python.
