  • "TO ENHANCE THE TRIBOLOGICAL PROPERTIES OF 15W40 ENGINE OIL.”
  • After the completion of this experiment, we conclude that the sample no 05 (zddp-0.6 gm, WS2-0.6 gm, Mos2-0.9 gm) is best. As compared with regural engine oil we increase the kinematic viscosity@ 100 c, increase the viscosity index, also increase the flash point and improve pour point temperature. So,as to understand that by this project we proved that or we concluded that we can improve the properties of the engine by adding the nanoparticles as compared with regular engine oil. But the problem we face regarding the solubility of nano particles which are in powder form or solid form like Ws2 & Mos2.

Higher fire point and minimum pour point, higher viscosity index all of these can be achienved by adding the suitable nanoparticles in Engine Oil because conventional oil can't do all of this on its own.

After adding the nano-particles in proper concentration the Tribological properties of engineoil changes and it gives better result than the regular engine oil

We have concluded that it is significantly effective to add nano-particles to lubricant for reducing wear and friction.
