To whom it may concern,
I am writing to express my interest in continuing as a substitute teacher. I have proudly served as a permanent building substitute in Warren Township for over 10 years, including before Kelly Services began managing substitute staffing. Throughout my time in the district, I have built strong relationships with students and staff while gaining valuable experience teaching a wide range of grade levels throughout the elementary school.
Over the years, I have accepted several long-term substitute assignments, including serving as a Kindergarten teacher for an entire school year! In that role, I was responsible for lesson planning, classroom management, and creating a positive learning environment, which strengthened both my teaching skills and confidence as an educator. I am dedicated to creating a fun and safe learning space for students to excel in.
As a proud graduate of Warren Central High School and a lifelong Eastside resident, it is especially meaningful to me to serve the community that shaped who I am today. Working in Warren Township is way more than a job-it’s an opportunity to give back to students and families that have meant so much to me.
After becoming a mother in 2024, I temporarily reduced my schedule and accepted substitute assignments only as I was able to. I am now excited and fully prepared to return to the classroom full time, 5 days a week!
Teaching is truly my passion. I am committed to creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom where every student feels valued, encouraged and inspired to learn. I would be truly honored to continue supporting the students, teachers and families of Warren Township.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I appreciate the opportunity to be considered and look forward to making a positive impact in the district that I am so proud to call home.
Sincerely,
Abby Perkins
