Summary

My passion for food research , led me to invent India’s first ready to eat Non vegetarian food at “The taste Company” and Vegetarian RTE food at Triguni foods. It was a breakthrough innovation as these had a shelf life of 1 to 2 years , without preservatives. Innovation,research, creating production infrastructure from scratch and taking it to commercialization levels , while also training microbiologists and Food technologists and ensuring superior food quality through direct supervision of ISO & halal certification audits, have been the highlights of my pursuits for last over sixteen years. I have attained expertise in RTE, RTC, Industrial bakery & confectionery and industrial catering and F&B in hotels.

  • I developed India’s first Non-veg, RTE authentic home-style
    food after gathering consumer insights and conducting
    research to increase the shelf life and check the stability
    and maturity in raw ingredients.
  • Established factory setup right from the very scratch in less
    than 3 months and built a product portfolio that suits the
    taste of pan India audience.
  • I was responsible for the commercialization and a successful
    product launch.
  • I handled the P & L and played a key role in generating
    positive cash flows within 3 years of Inception. The products
    are currently being consumed by Major Airlines, cinemas and are
    being sold on all leading e-commerce marketplaces.
  • Managing day-to-day factory operations, supply chain and
    vendors.
  • Implementing agile techniques to garner demand with “JIT”
    inventory and Cash Flow.
  • Managing a Large team of about 200+ people that includes
    food technologists and microbiologists among others.

  • Led a team 20 direct and 150 indirect reportees for the successful day-to-day operation of the facility which supplies to 25 retail outlets in Chennai. Major vendors being Café Coffee Day, Coffee day Express, Nilgiris, Heritage and Reliance.
  • Reviewed established production schedules of Industrial bakery and confectionary for inventory management and highest levels of efficiency.
  • Coordinated the hiring ,training, performance appraisals and provide coaching and guidance to the employees.
  • Developed and executed the budgets and monitored operation expenses to reduce costs and ensure the highest standard of product quality.
  • Facilitated and encourage continuous process improvement through allocation of human and equipment resources, removal of production constraints and waste to improve efficiency and enhance productivity.
  • I was a key player in the research and development team, which developed new products.
  • Worked with purchasing manager to develop and improve supplier relationships.
