Project Experience – Technical Support
This project is to develop the design and construction of a new bogie drop facility at Canton Depot to fulfil part of their requirements to maintain their rolling stock. The purpose of the building is to service primarily the new FLIRT (Fast Light Intercity and Regional Train) and a number of other rolling stock. Responsible for Cross-section modelling, cross-section drawing, general arrangement drawing and gauging work. Deliverables include Form B report and drawings in PW environment.
Responsible for preparation of survey data (krdz file) in the required format for use in Bentley Power Rail Track. Regression of the plain line and S&C alignment for proving the design with respect to the latest. survey data and improvement of the geometry to maintain the alignment as per standards wherever possible. Checking for the geometric non compliances using OVS Check sheet and addressing the same. Addressing non compliances in displacement (slues, lifts/lowers, cant change, clearances to line side objects) which are check using ProVi Tool Check. Preparing the design notes for the non-compliances in geometry and displacement.
This project is for a Form A design and replace the track for three bridge replacement work. This work involves the production of Form A along with all its appendices. The project involved PWay design for plain line track renewal over the Talbot, Strode and Stracey underbridge. Abhishek took the responsibility in PWay design, preparing general arrangement drawings, gauging assessment and Form A report preparation. He has been able to achieve all these with constant and regular communication with the lead team in UK.
Project Experience – Technical Support
Abhishek is responsible to manually trace and mark, using a computer mouse, concrete cracks in individual photographic images that had been clicked for different bridge elements. MATLAB software was used by accessing a remote desktop in the Maryland office. He is also responsible for documenting crack data and categorising crack data on the basis Crack width. Stitching of crack images using Hugin software.
Abhishek is responsible drawing and design updates for S&C between the main line and the sidings with many permanent infrastructure constraints based on Client, Network Rail, requirement. Generated GADs of Cross-sections, Drainage for both existing and proposed alignment.
Abhishek responsible for GRIP 5 design modification and GAD production of the two-underbridge location. He is also responsible gauging analysis for structural clearances for existing and proposed design using ClearRoute2.

The coastal road project is undertaken by MCGM to decongest Western Expressway to reduce travel time, allow bus rapid transport. The project is a 4+4 lane freeway from Nariman point to Kandivali which includes tunnels, flyovers, highway, and interchanges part of which are in sea and on sea reclamation. The Project has been planned as an “access-controlled highway” where access to the highway shall be provided only at pre-determined locations from existing roads through properly designed entry/exit ramps and or from interchanges.
The quarters are 4 nos. G+15 high rise building with play area and an OAT (Open Air Theatre).
