  • Engaged in daily monitoring of compliance through the firm's tool, PICT (Personal Independence Compliance Testing), and capable of identifying conflicts of interest by analyzing Auditees' GMS (Global Monitoring System).
  • Establishing policies and procedures for auditing activities, meeting Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for process and quality parameters.
  • Reviewing the responses to monthly confirmations and annual confirmations.
  • Analyzing the same to conclude if it resulted in a breach of the Independence policy.
  • Doing periodic review and maintenance of the intranet, reference library, and other independence databases as needed.
  • Collaborating with the wider independence and risk teams across lines of services, wherever and whenever required.
  • Conduct necessary research to determine whether a personal financial relationship is permitted or prohibited/restricted for company partners and professionals based on the US SEC, PCAOB, and AICPA independence rules.
  • Analyzing issues and producing deliverables to document the diligence with which such tasks were performed, as the work papers are subject to review and scrutiny by outside regulators. Interactions are generally at the executive level with client team members and GDS personnel.
  • Giving trainings to new hires, preparing SOPs for them, and leading the team in guiding them with hands-on experience with the tools and techniques. Responsible for executing client-related engagements in the areas of governance, risk, and compliance.
    Compliance (GRC), Personal Independence audits, process reviews, standard operating procedures, enterprise risk management, revenue assurance.
  • Maintaining relationships with client management is key to managing service expectations, including work products, ad hoc feeds, and deliverables. Demonstrating an understanding of compliance, financial, and operational risks is essential, as is performing internal control testing, developing internal audit plans, and providing internal audit services on an outsourcing basis. It is also crucial to assess internal controls and the SOX framework to mitigate risks, address audit findings, and apply these insights to client situations.
