Social Causes

As an individual born in India with Nigerian heritage(Citizen of India), I am following in the footsteps of my late father by venturing into the field of Social Welfare and Development. I am on the board of an NGO called SUMANA, in the capacity of a Vice President. SUMANA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the welfare of women and children, and I am proud to have served as a board member for the past five years. Committed to creating positive social impact, SUMANA focuses on empowering women and ensuring the well-being of children in diverse communities. The organization is operational in rural Mysuru. SUMANA operates with a holistic approach, addressing various aspects of women's and children's lives, including education, healthcare, and socio-economic development. By providing access to education, healthcare services, and vocational training, SUMANA strives to uplift women, enabling them to break the cycle of poverty and become self-sufficient contributors to society. SUMANA has set up an english medium school in one of the villages called Mellahalli.


As a board member, my role involves contributing to strategic decision-making, fundraising efforts, and ensuring the effective implementation of programs. Together with dedicated individuals and partners, we work towards creating a brighter and more equitable future for the women and children under the care of SUMANA. Through our collective efforts, we aim to make a lasting impact on the lives of those we serve, fostering empowerment, resilience, and a sense of community.
