- Developed an XGBoost regression model for the LD-1 Superheat Transform system, achieving an R-squared of 0.887 (MAE 99.83, RMSE 204.81) in predicting Actual Temperature — a substantial improvement over an initial Random Forest baseline (see Projects).
- Integrated, cleaned, and transformed multi-source steel production datasets by merging Production and Sublance records using a common heat-cycle identifier; performed data validation, missing-value imputation, outlier handling, and feature engineering to prepare reliable datasets for predictive modeling.
- Designed and deployed interactive Power BI dashboards with DAX measures, Power Query transformations, KPI cards, and temperature trend analysis, enabling engineers to monitor key converter metrics including Reblow Rate, Splashing Rate, FeO%, Silicon%, Tapping Temperature, and Vessel Life across BOF operations.
- Presented modeling results and dashboard designs to mentors and process engineers, and authored a 6-section internship report (abstract, introduction, methodology, results, conclusion, acknowledgement) with an accompanying presentation for stakeholder review.
