I am equipped to teach across the broad discipline of history, with a particular focus on modern Indian history. My teaching encompasses diverse methodological and thematic approaches, including nationalism, intellectual history, social history, economic history, religious history, and the histories of partition. I am also well-prepared to engage with museum studies and historical pedagogy. In addition, I can teach aspects of ancient and medieval Indian history through an interdisciplinary lens.
My research lies at the intersection of social sciences and humanities, with a strong interdisciplinary orientation and a specialized focus on modern Indian history. Anchored in historical methodology, my work draws extensively from memory studies, print culture, and intellectual history to explore the layered narratives of marginalized communities and contested spaces—particularly in colonial Punjab and Kashmir.
