Leading Capacity building Programme of the Project

• Designed and implemented state-wide training for Medical Officers, ANMs, CHOs, Program/Data Managers, and officials, covering over 7,700 personnel across 24 districts and 190 CHCs.
• Developed e-training modules and integrated the program into the NHM Jharkhand implementation plan.

Community Empowerment & Mobilization

• Strengthened and regularized NFSA Vigilance Committees across project areas.
• Conducted Suposhan Sabhas to promote awareness on entitlements and nutrition practices among PRI representatives, CBOs, government counterparts, and community leaders.

• Fostered collaboration with the Jharkhand State Food Commission to improve NFSA implementation in five districts (Gumla, Seraikela, Jamtara, Giridih, Jamtara).

• Worked on enhancing VHSND services through community and frontline worker engagement.

• Supported rollout of key components of National Poshan Abhiyaan: Incremental Learning Approach (ILA) Convergence Planning & Jan Andolan Anemia Mukt Bharat (AMB)
• Facilitated Common Application Software (CAS) rollout for real-time monitoring.

Data Analysis

• Analysed AWMPR data to monitor health and nutrition indicators and inform planning.

Capacity Building & Trainings

• Led state-level training programs under ILA and Anemia Mukt Bharat: Trained DSWOs, CDPOs, Lady Supervisors, BEEOs, PRI members, and Principals. Facilitated divisional training on growth monitoring and IYCF, training 100 CDPOs from 13 districts. Contributed to development of training modules for Poshan Sakhi and other stakeholders. Member of State Resource Group for ILA implementation and capacity building.

• Conducted bottleneck analysis of 40 Malnutrition Treatment Centres (MTCs) to improve SAM management; compiled and analyzed data for reporting.
• Regularly analyzed MTC checklist data from 46 centers; shared insights with Programme Specialists
• Analyzed AWC and JMSSPM checklists to identify programmatic gaps and support advocacy for health and nutrition improvement in remote areas.
• Reviewed monitoring data from 2,058 sites during Vitamin A rounds and reported findings to stakeholders.
• Supported the design and field testing of reporting formats for community-based SAM management and monitoring.

Community & Facility-Based SAM Management

• Provided technical support in designing and field-testing data tools for community-based SAM management.
• Conducted facility assessments under the MAA (Mother’s Absolute Affection) program across 30 facilities to evaluate IYCF practices; compiled and analyzed data for program improvement (2018).

Capacity Building & Training

• Facilitated training sessions under Rashtriya Kishor Swasthya Karyakram (RKSK) in Lohardaga;trained 60 personnel including Medical Officers, Counselors, CDPOs, and BEEOs.
• Supported training rollouts and monitoring checklist analysis under WIFS (Weekly Iron Folic Acid Supplementation) at state, district, and block levels.
• Assisted in orientation programs for Facility-based SAM (F-SAM) management at state and district levels.
• Monitored Village Health and Nutrition Days (VHNDs) and analyzed checklists to assess service delivery, infrastructure, and child growth tracking.

Anganwadi Training Centre Assessment

• Assessed 15 AWTCs across Jharkhand: conducted site visits, developed assessment checklists, analyzed data, and submitted reports to the department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provided technical assistance in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of the SABLA and Anemia Control Programme (ACP) for adolescent girls across the state.
• Ensured effective convergence between departments including Education,Health, and Social Welfare (ICDS) to strengthen program delivery.
• Enhanced reporting systems and Management Information Systems (MIS) through data analysis and regular presentations for program review and decision-making.
• Conducted supportive supervision and field monitoring to assess on-ground implementation and provide feedback for improvement.
• Planned and facilitated capacity building programs for stakeholders at various administrative levels to ensure sustainability and program ownership.

Key Achievements:

• Successfully coordinated with District Education Officers, DSE, and BEEOs in Palamau, Latehar, and Garhwa districts to strengthen ACP implementation.
• Ensured timely and accurate reporting under ACP and SABLA through effective interdepartmental convergence with Health, ICDS, and HRD departments.
• Facilitated the training of 240 Master Trainers (Teachers, BEEOs, and BPOs) across 24 districts, significantly boosting field-level capacity in anemia control interventions.

• Played a key role in strengthening the capacity building component of the Anemia Control Programme (ACP) at both district and state levels.
• Led initiatives to improve the MIS system, enhancing data quality, timeliness, and utility for decision-making.
• Successfully streamlined and institutionalized the reporting mechanism across all 24 districts, enabling effective data flow and program tracking at the state level.
• Prepared and shared regular presentations with state and district-level stakeholders to highlight program coverage, performance metrics, and critical implementation gaps.
• Mobilized and coordinated a resource pool at both district and state levels to support ongoing capacity-building sessions for government functionaries across departments (Education, Health, ICDS).
• Promoted evidence-based planning and feedback loops by integrating field-level findings into supervisory frameworks and review mechanisms.
