During my tenure in BNP Paribas ISPL, I have worked extensively in a settlement system known as Gloss (Global Settlement System).

Gloss is a securities back office settlement system that is a multi-currency and multi-company. It is highly flexible and easily configurable. In this system the trade related data/feed flows from different upstream applications and then is processed for various functionalities. We are responsible for settlement of trades from Hong Kong & Tokyo markets. Most of the logic is present in the Sybase Stored procedures which are called via shell scripts and C code. It is highly flexible and easily configurable.
