The role involved managing a gazebo during the T20 Blast games and CE Cup games, where a large number of customers experienced the VR cricket offering. The primary responsibilities included delivering excellent customer service, overseeing operations, providing guidance on the VR equipment, addressing inquiries, and resolving technical issues. The positive feedback from customers underscored the success of the role in enhancing the overall fan experience at Headingley Stadium. This opportunity allowed for the combination of a passion for cricket and expertise in delivering exceptional customer experiences.
I was responsible for planning and implementing various community programs and events, including Cric-Kit, Cardio Cricket, Indoor Cricket leagues, The Hundred in the community, Ramadan Tapeball Cup, The Grey Fox Trophy, Pop-Up Cricket, Walking Cricket, and Wicketz project. In addition, I coordinated the Guard of Honor at T20 Blast matches at Headingley in 2022. My role involved collaborating closely with the Marketing and Communications teams to develop and execute marketing campaigns, social media updates, and post-match blogs. Through these responsibilities, I was able to increase brand awareness of YCF programmes and events and engage with a wider demographics in the community.
I played a vital role in managing various aspects of cricket operations, collaborating closely with the Head of Cricket Operations. My responsibilities included coordinating the distribution and organisation of training and playing kit for multiple teams, maintaining detailed inventory records, and ensuring players had the necessary equipment. I also facilitated administrative tasks for cricket events, handling arrangements for parking, catering, and practice facility scheduling. Additionally, I took charge of dressing room cleanliness and upkeep, overseeing laundry services and cleaning duties. Through my diligent work, I contributed to creating a well-organised and efficient cricket environment, supporting teams and contributing to the overall success of matches and events at the ground.
I was responsible for capturing high-quality footage of the CC1 games and RHF games of the Northern Diamonds in 2022. I used multiple cameras to cover key moments on the field and creative crowd shots, all of which were live-streamed on the club's YouTube channel. In addition, I was responsible for vision mixing, where I combined footage from multiple camera recordings to create a seamless, professional-looking final product. This required technical expertise and creative thinking to ensure that the final footage accurately captured the excitement and energy of the matches. Overall, this helped to create engaging, high-quality live-streamed content that showcased the club's matches to a wider audience of cricket fans and supporters.
I coordinated with a range of teams and stakeholders, including Assistant Directors, Art teams, Camera teams, Lighting teams, G4S employees, YCCC Operations teams, YCCC Marketing team, Groundsmen, and Leeds Rhinos club, to ensure the successful execution of the shoot. I oversaw all aspects of the shoot, including logistics, scheduling, and safety, and worked closely with the various teams and stakeholders to ensure that the shoot ran smoothly. My ability to manage complex logistics and collaborate effectively with others helped to ensure that all 150+ people on set, including high-profile celebrities, had a positive and enjoyable experience.
I was responsible for overseeing multiple marketing channels and content development. I worked with students to develop engaging content ideas and executed on them through video filming and editing using Canva. I also captured high-quality photographs at college events for use on social media and other marketing materials. I was accountable for posting content on social media channels such as Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and mainly TikTok and used engagement metrics to evaluate the success of different types of content. By collaborating with other staff members and departments, I ensured that the marketing efforts were aligned with the college's overall goals and strategies. Overall, my contributions helped to increase brand awareness and engagement among students, parents, and people of the college.
I was responsible for gathering insights and feedback from individuals from Leeds and Bradford, who identify as South Asian, Black or Afro Caribbean, to help improve their understanding of the tournament. Through my work, I helped to shape the future thinking of The Hundred team in terms of how they communicate with diverse audiences, as well as how they land and execute different aspects of the tournament. I was able to make a meaningful contribution to The Hundred's efforts to increase diversity and inclusion, while also supporting the development of new advocates for the tournament.
