Responsibilities Relationship Management:

  • Built close relationships with Eastman Core business technology personnel, Global Product Stewardship & Regulatory Affairs colleagues, Trade Associations and/or NGOs

Project leadership:

  • Developed and implemented SAP templates, processes and systems that increased efficiency and quality of deliverables.
  • Developed SharePoint for Eastman Global Product stewardship team and also integrated Customer Inquires Management into Salesforce
  • Collaborate and extend in proactive, strategic relationships with external stakeholders R&D, Marketing, Procurement other stakeholders in continuous implementation, training and improvement of Product Stewardship and in optimizing regulatory compliance tools and processes into our organization
  • Contributed to group projects by offering proposed solutions to problems and methods to accomplish the goals of the Product Stewardship and Regulatory Affairs Group
  • Co-ordinated with IT in the development work on SAP Report Generation Variants (RGV) and SAP Report Templates (SBV)
  • Ensure strategies are developed to mitigate impact or take advantage of new regulations & requirements for compliance by coordinating with global Product Stewards, external consultants

Regulatory understanding:

  • Serve as subject matter expert on HC regulations such as the Globally Harmonized System for the Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS)
  • Proactively involved in regulatory label interpretations and implementation of newly developed countries Contributed to group projects by offering proposed solutions to problems and methods to accomplish the goals of the Product Stewardship and Regulatory Affairs Group such as California proposition 65, TSCA, China CN class information, Japan FSL, Korea DSSMA, UFI PCN project and EU Annex XVII restricted substance Accountable for coordinating, monitoring, and managing operations while maintaining all safety and compliance regulations for EU Poison centre notification
  • Monitor and communicate international, national regulations in addition to proposed regulations that are relevant to the Coatings & Inks, Care chemicals, Specialty plastics, Specialty fluids & energy
