ALAINA PARKS

I have been employed with Sandra Eskenazi Mental Health Center for 7 months. Prior to my employment, I interned and was employed with Volunteers of America for two years. In this short period of time, I have been able to gain experience with conducting clinical assessments, facilitating group therapy and individual therapy sessions, as well as gaining experiencing working with clients who suffer from substance abuse disorder. This has helped to give me the foundation I need to become an effective social worker and reach my long term career goal of becoming a private practicing therapist. My previous with the Department of Child Services in Delaware County has given me different insights into the world of social work, and the many populations that I could serve as a social worker.
