Heading the finance controllership function and part of the finance leadership team having responsibilities of:

- Spearheading the team to work in a dynamic and fast changing work environment, defining vision, prioritizing focus areas with a constant focus on taking the function to the next level.

- Responsible for all aspects of financial accounting, controls, treasury, fixed asset management, oversight on payroll function, certain accounts payable processes.

- Ensuring statutory compliances and staying on top of changing regulatory environment.

- Ensuring effective design and operation of the financial controls framework of the Company along with ensuring good governance. Leading mandatory and proactive controls programme in this space.

- Responsible for smooth month close process, reconciliations, preparation of financial statements, completion of audits (internal and external), compliances, providing inputs for budget/forecast, cash analysis, variance analysis, KPI tracking, scorecard management for the function.

- Implemented IndAS (India GAAP) and worked closely on US GAAP.

- Closely worked with Tax function on strategic decisions in relation to Tax matters (Dividend repatriation, inputs on Advanced pricing agreements, Inter-Company Agreements, Assignee's tax refunds).

- Worked on various transformation/modernisation projects with special focus on enhanced automations in all possible areas within the function.

- Participated in various design thinking workshops with the intention to find new ways of increasing efficiency.

- Associate Experience (AEX) connector – program run to enhance the experience of working in Fidelity.

- Advisor to the Extended leadership team – with focus on effectively utilizing a pool of 300+ associates in firmwide activities including cross functional projects.

- Have been part of a special leadership program for ear-marked top talents withing India business (One of the prestigious leadership development programs)

- Closely worked on multiple Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program's (with kids of Govt schools).

- Worked with US teams on several firm wide initiatives and modernization efforts.

- Worked with the Board of Directors, Risk Committee, Legal teams and other stakeholders on several statutory matters.

§ Heading the entire end to end accounting function of the following companies:

- Altisource Residential (RESI) – A Real estate investment publicly listed in US.

- AAMC – Providing asset management and other services to RESI, publicly listed in US.

- Altisource Consulting SARL - wholly owned subsidiary of AAMC (private company in Luxemburg).

- AAMC Cayman SEZC Ltd - wholly owned subsidiary of AAMC (private company in Cayman Islands).

- River Business Solutions India Private Limited (RBSPL) – wholly owned subsidiary of AAMC in India.

§ Established the accounting set up in India for all the above companies (in a completely new domain).

§ Responsible for coordinating with various internal teams (Strategy, Operations, Treasury, Portfolio Management, Shared Services, Business Partners, and others) for collection of information and analyzing several key parameters (yields, gains, trends etc.)

§ Created accounting policy manual for the entire business lines.

§ Designing the entire internal controls framework from start to finish.

§ Review financial and operational reports and supporting work papers under US GAAP.

§ Coordinate with the tax team for REIT (Real estate investment trust) accounting and tax reporting.

§ Head special projects as needed and provide support to the CXOs.

§ Actively headed several operational processes in setting up RBSPL in India.

Managing the complete planning and execution of various types of audits end to end (Statutory audits, controls audit, tax audits, Special audits, certifications etc.)

Evaluating internal control systems / procedures, preparing reports with a view to highlight the control weakness and helping in implementing necessary remediation.

Acted as the Global coordinator (for APAC and EMEA region) for very large, shared service centre audits.

Verifying compliance with Sarbanes Oxley Act and coordinating globally for the compliance as well.

Evaluating COSO framework (internal control framework) to ascertain the entity level controls in place.

Major Clients: NCR Corporation (~25 countries) Cisco System (~15 countries), Tesco Fresh and Easy (US). , Xchanging Solutions Limited, Tesco HSC, British Engines, Nitesh Residency, Goldman Sachs (real estate entities – City View Properties, West One properties), Menzies Group (for Bangalore International Airport).

Preparation of detailed audit budget, negotiation of fees, WIP monitoring and managing project economies.

Continuously involved in identifying business opportunities including cross selling (other services lines).

Active participation in firm's recruitment drive and interviewing various candidates.

Have been part of AURA Champion group responsible for implementing new audit tool under Audit Transformation Program for Assurance Bangalore.
