  • Liaise with all doctors regarding Formulary use and ensure adherence to same.
  • Initiating ongoing changes in the Formulary, like additions of new drugs & deletions of unused ones in PTC committee.
  • Maintaining buffer stock of emergency medications at all times; training to Pharmacy regarding the same.
  • Maintaining the stock material without any variance by conducting stock verification and documentation of stock audit should be maintained monthly.

  • Overall supervision of duty rosters and adherence to same, sanctioning of leaves, OT, offs & emergency leaves to ensure smooth functioning of the department at all times.
  • Ensure Senior Pharmacist in charge of stores give day to day reports of Retail & Stores.
  • Formation of the Drugs & Therapeutic Committee, arranging regular meets as Secretary, keeping the committee updated about the department policies & procedures inclusions/deletions to the
    drug Formulary on the basis of written requests with justifications from doctors.
  • Recall of Medicines: Medicines with particles or discoloration should be recalled immediately from all departments by issuing a circular. The same should be reported to the concerned company or dealer after returning it.
  • Local Purchase: Purchase from Local drug shop only with MOU which should be filed.
  • Incident report: Any incident either with regard to staff or medicines (Eg: wrong medicines) incident report should be raised and reported to MD.
  • Any other assignments as may be given from time to time by MD.
  • Coordinated verification and filling daily prescriptions in high-volume Inpatient pharmacy environment
