Handling NICU and assisted Duties

• Provided critical care for neonates requiring mechanical ventilation, closely monitoring and adjusting settings as needed.
• Providing round-the-clock care to premature and severely ill newborn infants
• Caring for the basic needs of infants like feeding and changing diapers
• Performing medical procedures such as inserting intravenous lines, performing tests and administering medications
• Coordinating the infants' medical treatments with the NICU physician
• Offering comfort and support to premature and ill newborns and their parents and family members
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by the pediatrician.
• Evaluating and monitoring the health condition of the newborns.
• Communicating and cooperating with other healthcare professionals as part of a larger NICU team

• Record medical history and symptoms, Administer medications and treatments, Collaborate with teams to plan for patient care
• Advocate for the health and wellbeing of patients, Monitor patient health and record signs
• Admission of patient according to the hospital procedure, Transfer and discharge of patients
• Follow nursing process in assessing, planning, implementation and evaluating daily individual patient care, Care of the patient with oxygen & ventilators, Maintaining patient airway
• Setting the ventilator parameter according to the patient's respiratory status, Monitoring fluid and electrolyte, Administering IV fluids
• Checking intake and output, performing intravenous cannulation, sending blood samples and evaluating the lab values
• Report vaccine, testing, participant and other program statistics as required daily and weekly.

• Using defibrillators, Urinary Catheterization, Wound dressing, Setting up of crash cart trolley with all emergency drugs, Monitoring Arterial blood gases and evaluating electrolyte levels
• CVP and intra arterial pressure monitoring, Maintaining hourly chart of vitals
• Administering medications through different routes
• Preparing patients for Surgery, endoscopy, bronchoscopy etc
• Post operative care of all patients, Meeting nutritional and elimination needs, Inserting NG tube, giving NG feed, Administering enema and suppositories
• Urinary catheterization, bladder wash and catheter care
• Providing healthy information to the client and family regarding vaccinations, prevention of disease
• Using universal precautions.
