- DISCOVER EDS is the Datawarehousing support where we support 56 applications of Discover financial services (DFS)
- Basically we are a bridge between Source and Target
- We help processing the files
- Currently the roles I am having at EDS are as follows
- Shift Monitor: Monitoring 56 applications of Discover financial services (DFS)
- Sending status reports of all the applications to the business and the shift status report to on-site manager
- Finding the issues and raising them if some of the Applications has error
- Tools used where Ab initio, JS console, Service now, Teradata, Datahub, Live queue
- Abend resolution: As Ab initio is used so there are multiple jobs (graphs as termed in Ab initio), we have to monitor the jobs and if abended we analyse the root cause
- We remove the duplicates and orphan if invalid from the records using ab initio tool by submitting emers
- Teradata is used currently to find out the records which have duplicate or orphan records
- Mainly Ab initio components like Filter by expression, Dedup, sort, Reformat are used in the project
