I am a trained Obstetrician and Gynecologist with over 28 years of clinical work-experience and engaged in teaching and training activities in the public sector having worked at Government Medical College hospitals in India. And experienced in managing high risk cases in Private Practice

To enhance my skills in both Obstetrics and Gynecology by continuous updating and upgradation with in-service training avenues and to use these skills in expanding the spectrum of services that I can provide to my patients. I also want to gain work experience in different health systems so as to gain a holistic experience of health care delivery in Obstetrics and Gynecology and develop a more comprehensive skill set that will ultimately benefit my patients.

Training and Clinical Experience

  • Professor, Associate Professor & Assistant Professor Modern Government Maternity Hospital
  • It is a 750 bedded tertiary care and university teaching hospital attached to Osmania medical college Hyderabad South India. The annual delivery rate in 24000 per year, I am first on call with 1:9 rotation responsible of out patients and inpatient night duties include performing emergency C-section, cesarean hysterectomies, conducting deliveries and managing emergency cases. Weekly two operation theater for gynae surgery both minor and major and for elective sections, also trained here in performing family planning procedures individually and double puncture laparoscopic sterilization under guidance.
  • I am actively involved in undergraduates and post graduate training. I am involved in rural health programs and participated in many health camps.
  • Tutor in pharmacology department Osmania Medical college Hyderabad.
  • This is a very old & well Known Institute / Medical college from which every year 150-200 graduate. My duties included taking classes in drugs related to Gynecology.

  • It is a 40 bedded hospital with all latest equipment including facilities for laparoscopic surgeries. It is owned by Dr. Jayashree desai MBBS, MRCOG (London), Specialist in Colposcopy, Laparoscopy & Ultrasound. I have an outpatient from 6pm to 9pm every day .I take care of all my inpatients round the clock. Perform LSCS , Hysterectomies and all minor &major surgeries independently. Laparoscopic procedures under supervision of Dr. Jayashree Desai.
  • Consultant in Sri Sai Women’s Clinic:
  • This is a clinic established by myself where used to give consultation about 15-20 patients per day and any surgeries used to do in nearby hospitals.
  • Consultant in Ankura Hospital for Women and Children:
  • Ankura is a group of hospitals in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states. Started a 65 bedded mother and child hospital in collaboration with Ankura group with 10% partnership. Established and was head of the department of Gynecology Department. There were two more Gynecologists in my team we all worked as a team. I was on call every 3rd day managing entire hospitals. As we had an ICU (maternal) we practiced high risk obstetric care and fetal medicine as there was level 3 NICU.in Dec 2017 this hospital is merged into Jubelehills branch in Hyderabad.
  • Senior Consultant in Lakshmi Hospital and Research Center:
  • It is 25 bedded hospital with obstetric and gynecological care. Well established center for laparoscopic surgeries. This center started 35yrs back as maternity hospital now it caters both obgy and neuro specialties .
  • Tutor in internal medicine, Sir Ronald Ross Institute of Infections and communicable disease, Hyderabad India :
  • This is a 200 bedded hospital where all types of communicable & transmissible diseases like diphtheria, rabies, chicken pox, typhoid, simple viral fever, gastroenteritis, hepatitis are dealt with.
  • My responsibilities included managing outpatients & inpatients during routine hours and dealing with emergencies in night duty.
  • I was also regularly involved in presenting seminars to teach undergraduate and house surgeons.

  • This is a 1500 Bedded Multidisciplinary tertiary care and teaching hospital with 200 beds for obstetrics and Gynecology. Every year 150 graduates and 40 post graduate are trained in the hospital. I was managing outpatients and inpatients and emergencies.
  • I was trained here for DNB for 1 year.
  • I am trained in ultrasound especially in obstetrics & gynecology for 10 months period.
  • I manage labor ward individually for 10 months it includes conducting both normal and abnormal deliveries including instrumental deliveries and caesarean sections.
  • A part from above managing wards during remaining period and actively involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduates.
  • Performed major gynecological surgeries like total abdominal hysterectomies, vaginal hysterectomies and ovarian cystectomies under supervision. Assisted many hysteroscopy , colposcopy procedures and ovarian debulking surgeries

  • This a 750 bedded multidisciplinary tertiary care and teaching hospital. 150 Beds alloted to obstetrics and Gynecology Department.
  • I was trained here for a period of two years and had my postgraduate diploma in obstetrics and gynecology. I was 1st on call and training here was mainly in basic obstetrics, deliveries, caesarean sections and family planning procedures. A part from routine wards work I performed bedside procedures, taught under graduate students and supervised house officers.

  • This is 700 bedded multidisciplinary tertiary care and teaching hospital which have many overseas funds. I underwent structured training as a rotational interest in all the basic specialties of medicine including community medicine.

  • I See myself as confident enthusiastic caring very friendly and easily approachable person. I am very honest punctual and dedicated to my profession. I am able to work independently and at the same time i know my limitations and can identify situations were experience help is required. I belive that coordinated team work is essential for providing quality care to the patients understand the paramount importance of maintaining good relationship with colleagues and other members of the staff.
  • I am a responsible doctor with confidence and enthusiasm towards my work and have earned a natural respect from my colleagues and staff. I am identified in social circles as being a generally friendly and “easily approachable” person for my friends. I have handled difficult situations taking independent decisions and motivating the team to perform well at all levels such that I feel equipped to run clinical unit as a lead consultant. I realise that Obstetrics as well as Gynecology can be challenging at times and hence working within a team and having colleagues to coordinate difficult cases with has been always fruitful and hence I would like to maintain such alliances with contemporary units to positively back-up each other.
