The solution helped the business to save 8% in terms of total transportation costs and ~3 % of total purchase value through buy-back benefits.
- Implemented Network Optimization solution (using Supply Chain Guru) for an automobile parts distributor. The solution involved correctly replicating the baseline and then building multiple 'To Be' scenarios considering future demand and potential new locations. The recommended solution based on the scenarios executed was likely to reduce transportation costs by ~ 27%.
- Analyzed the current Network and modeled future scenarios for a telecommunications company. The solution involved suggesting new kitting locations in Europe and modelling a new distribution network based on Dropshipping. The proposed model based on Dropshipping certain items was likely to reduce distribution costs by 18%.
- Developed a Cost To Serve model for a pharmaceutical company to allocate costs at the Order line level. The output data was rolled up to generate datacuts at different levels to generate business insights around profitable/non-performing customers/product categories.
- Implemented a Inventory Optimization solution for a US based Pharma company using Coupa -Supply Chain Guru tool.The solution helped the business to optimize their inventory levels and reduce inventory costs by 12 %.
- Implemented Blue Yonder fulfillment solution for a multi-tier network for a pharmaceutical company to generate supply plan for their stores,RDCs and FDCs.

Selective Inventory Control ( ABC - XYZ Analysis )
This project is focused on selective inventory control using ABC-XYZ analysis. The analysis categorizes SKUs into 9 categories based on both item value and demand pattern.The analysis would help the business to optimize their resources based on the item type. Some of the applications could be
- Whether to hold safety stock or not
- Service levels depending on SKU category
- Frequency of cycle counting
The final output is shared as an excel template for 500 items. The template could be re-purposed to solve for greater number of items.
