I graduated from Saint Xavier High School in Louisville, KY, in the spring of 2008, where I was also a student-athlete and achieved All-American recognition in the sport of swimming. At a young age, I knew I wanted to pursue a career in law enforcement; more specifically, I wanted to be an Indiana State Trooper. I continued my education and swimming career at Indiana University, in Bloomington. I obtained a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice while competing for the swim team, and was voted team captain my senior year. Being a student-athlete taught me discipline, teamwork, and dedication.
In November of 2013, I attended the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy as a member of the 73rd Indiana State Police Recruit School. I graduated recruit school and was appointed as a Probationary Officer on May 1st, 2014 assigned to the Pendleton Post. Since then, I have transferred to the Sellersburg Post, where I have served as a Trooper for the last ten years.
During my time as a Trooper, I was a member of the SCUBA team, a Field Training Officer, a member of All Crimes Policing, and I was named Trooper of the District in 2018. In September of 2022, I was promoted to Crime Scene Investigator for the Sellersburg Post. My greatest achievements are marrying my wife, Jacy, in November of 2021 and becoming a father to our son, Hayes, in November of 2024.
