Brief Overview

With 9 years 10 months of experience in the Telecom Domain, I'm presently working as a lead at Sooktha Consulting Pvt Ltd. My expertise spans across RRC, PDCP layers along with a strong command over C, 5G NR, LTE Protocols, and Data Structures. Proficient in TCP, UDP, and SCTP protocols, I contribute collaboratively as a team player by sharing insights and guiding teams.

Work History

I have worked in Sooktha consulting pvt ltd from 07th February 2014 to 29th February 2024, and below are the projects I have involved in working at sooktha.


1:Small Cell Base Station

Description: The Smart Base Station (SBS) is full small cell base station software implementation from Layer 2 and Layer 3. The solution is fully compliant to Release 16 version of the 3GPP specifications.


Responsibilities:

  • Developed timer based SDU discard in PDCP
  • Developed RRC connection establishment procedure in gNB
  • Involved in Implementation of Handover Procedure (Hand-out) in RRC
  • Involved in adding 5G API’s between different modules within gNB
  • Involved in development of app framework for 5G, where the multiple threads will be created, and core assignment will be done
  • Have exposure on fixing of RRC, PDCP and EGTPU issues
  • Implemented ASN codecs for F1AP interface management procedures defined in 3GPP Spec 38.473.
  • Involved in unit testing of Control Plane features
  • Involved in restructuring of existing code.


2.RRC Override Config Feature Implementation

Description : Creating error case scenarios by integrating test hooks on the UE side, enabling the simulation of diverse error scenarios on the gNB side to validate timeouts and context release.


Responsibilities:

● Designed and Implemented the test framework to simulate various error scenarios from UE stack
● Developed test cases and handed over to test team


3:Gnb Operability

Description: The gNB Operability plane provides a way to configure and control the Base Station by exposes a set of interfaces and APIs through which the base station can be configured


Responsibilities:

● Developed adapter which convert interfaces between an yang data model to the internal base station type using Confd API’s

● Implemented API's for read-only data to write it to Confd-CDB
● Developed various API’s in Adapter Control the gNB


4.Data Model Implementation

Description :The project consists of Data Model Implementation for gNB


Responsibilities:

● Implemented data models involving Python test bench interfaces for configuring IE's.
● Developed interface definitions for Config IE’s within gnbMgr module
● The implementation aligns with specification 38.331


5.Build Scripts for GNB & CU-DU Split Architecture

Responsibilities:

● Created scripts to build, package, and configure gNB for various targets, including both Host and hardware environments.
● Designed scripts specifically tailored for gNB build, packaging, and setup in a CU-DU split architecture, facilitating the individual units initiation
● Developed scripts for bring up gNB along with Config Management module


6: Smart Hat

Description : This Project consists of providing smart personal protective equipment and connected safety solutions for industrial workers. Their technology integrates wearable devices, IoT, and data analytics to enhance worker safety in hazardous environments.


Client: GuardHat Inc


Responsibilities:
● Developed Automation framework to simulate sensor events from IOT device over UDP sockets
● Developed API’s to verify the simulated events from server using REST API’s
● Developed API’s using python-selenium API to validate the events from front-end
● Maintenance of Automation framework

Educational Qualification

  • M.S in Embedded Systems with 8.24 CGPA from Manipal University , Manipal. Completed in June-2013.
  • B.Tech in Electronics & Communication Engineering with 64.5% from MLEC, Singarayakonda. Completed in 2011.
  • Intermediate with 89.5% from Sri Chaitanya Jr College, Guntur. Completed in 2007.
  • SSLC with 87.5% from Damodara Public school, Ongole. Completed in 2005.
