OPERATION ENGINEER (BTG)

- Operated 600 MW BHEL steam turbine with:Inlet pressure:-178.5 kg/cm² | Temperature:- 537°C
4-cylinder configuration:- HP (single flow), IP/LP (double flow), tandem compound, condensing & reheat
- Managed HP & LP bypass systems and 2 × 1950 TPH PFBC boilers (BHEL make)
- Boiler specifications:Superheater outlet:- 191.3 kg/cm² / 540°C
Reheater inlet/outlet:- 45.1/42.46 kg/cm² / 338/540°C
Features: Top-supported, controlled circulation, tangential firing, fusion welded water walls, balanced draft, radiant reheat, single drum, forced circulation
- Operated tri-sector rotary air pre-heaters and hydrogen-cooled generators
- Proficient in DCS Max DNA system
- Operated HT/LT switchgear and 400 KV switchyard
- Performed HT/LT breaker operations and high-speed bus transfer
- Executed 400 KV line and bus isolation/normalization
- Handled SF6 circuit breakers and double break isolators

- Responsible for DCS Operations of the plant and reports to Shift Charge Engineer.
- Hands on experience in control room operation & commissioning of power plant.
- Boiler cold and hot flushing, light up and smooth full load operation.
- Flushing of condensate and feedwater system.
- Interlock & Protection checking with required modification and implementation of Boiler & Turbine.
- Working experience in Reheat, condensing and regenerative steam turbine.
- Responsible for total plant safe operation -like Startup, shutdown, normal operation, Emergency handling and Trouble shooting.
- Handling Electrical Switchgear and Switchyard operation, Bus changeover, breaker Operation and emergency handling.
- Assisting SCE in issuing and controlling the PTW system.
- Responsible for maintaining / improving plant parameters as per SOP- Heat rate, aux power, Availability, PLF, reliability.
- Ensuring all defects are registered properly and liquidated on time.
- Responsible for recording all operation related activities including Log books, check list, shift routines, PTWs etc.
- Maintaining the Boiler Water parameters and WTP operations.
- Adopts best engineering practices, systems and procedures in operation of the plant.
