I am currently working as a Project Associate at VIT Vellore, focusing on the "Design and synthesis of Sugar-NHC ligands and their metal complexes for sustainable catalytic organic transformations". My research involves developing efficient and environmentally friendly catalytic systems, with a strong emphasis on synthetic chemistry and ligand design. Additionally, I have gained extensive hands-on experience with various analytical instruments, including NMR, GC-MS, RP-HPLC, PSD, HSGC, UV, IR, LCMS and AAS enabling precise characterization and analysis of synthesized compounds.
Fabrication of modified chitosan and their behaviour and their properties in swelling solutions
• In this work, we synthesized and characterize Thiophenyl Chitosan based
composite hydrogels using PVA and Starch
• Hydrogels are used in various fields including Agriculture, Biomedical, food industry
and Waste water treatment.
• To confirm the formation of composite hydrogels and extent of modification in the
polymer matrix through spectral and Morphological characterization.
• To explore the swelling behavior and thermal responsive property of the synthesized
composite hydrogel.
