IOT Based Weather Forecast System

• Project for CDAC Training
• Implemented IoT based weather forecast system using STM32F303 discovery board
• Explored communication protocols (UART, SPI and I2C) to interface sensors
• Used ESP32 as a publisher to upload the data on cloud using mqtt protocol
• Used beaglebone black as a subscriber
• Tools: C, Cortex-M4, Paho MQTT protocol
• Outcome: good understanding of ARM Cortex-M architecture, communication protocols and mqtt protocol

Distributed DoS Attack Detection and Mitigation in Software Defined Networks (SDN)

• Masters Final Year Technical project
• Implemented a functionality in controller of the network so that it can calculate the entropy of the network
• Observing the entropy of the network, controller can decide which node in the network is acting maliciously
• Based on the observation, controller can switch off the node to mitigate the attack
• Tools : Python, Mininet 2.2.1, Wireshark
• Outcome: Outstanding understanding of attacks and how to detect them as well as cyber security measures

Brain Tumor Segmentation and Area calculation Bachelors Final Year Technical Project

• Designed a GUI based system using MATLAB
• Used C coding to extract out the segmented area from the MRI image of the brain
• Used methods of digital image processing to filter the tumor area and applied different filters to enhance the results.
