  • Any requirement for network setup at Unilever facilities (Datacenters, Offices, factories, Depots) are received in the form of Global Demand Management request (GDM)
  • Scope of the project is defined with clear problem statement and scope of work
  • Request is then analysed and based on the requirement suggestions are given on type of connection, bandwidth, hardware’s required
  • Requirement is then sent to Unilever authorized ISP’s / Vendors for a formal proposal
  • Proposal from vendors are analysed carefully
  • Based on commercials and delivery timelines order is placed with the vendor
  • Detailed project plan is shared with customer which contains, timelines, milestones, assumptions, risks etc

Projects

  • Strategic Network Transformation - Dual Router Implementation –End to End execution of dual router setup at 160 Unilever locations across India. This Included project cost estimation, cost approvals, vendor partner selection, hardware deliveries, finalize new configuration, coordinating implementation at each location on scheduled downtime, handing over new hardware to NOC for daily operations. This project has provided redundancy to all Unilever locations in terms of network hardware and has made sites ready to deploy SD WAN.
  • NEXUS Migration (Core Datacenter Switch refresh) Project Manager for core switch migration from Nexus 7K to 9k at datacenter. This switch refresh project was 20-hour complete downtime window for HUL.
  • Network Infrastructure improvement at 160 locations – Improving network infrastructures in terms of network racks and cabling with help of vendor partner.
  • Clock issue router replacement - Coordinating with CISCO to replace 220 on productions routers with RMA. Datacenter Migration – Shifting to new datacenter. Including network links and hardware shifting and activation.
  • Global Asset Management – Creating one stop shop for all information regarding assets. Having single source of information to maintain data accuracy.
  • Primary Datacenter Migration (Fusion Landscape Migration) - The goal of this project was to migrate physical datacenter from one location to other. The objective of this project was to procure and create a parallel setup in new datacenter and transition services on business agreed cutover.
  • Strategic Network Transformation – DMVPN - Unilever network service supports around 570 factories, warehouses and depots in Asia. The goal of this project was to migrate legacy MPLS links to Internet lease lines which will enable cost savings, flexibility in management with higher capacity links.
