- Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) – Mechanical Maintenance (Duration: 1 Year)
During my tenure as a Graduate Engineer Trainee, I gained hands-on learning experience in the maintenance of various mechanical equipment, with a focus on both preventive and breakdown maintenance. I developed a deep understanding of industrial safety protocols, prioritizing the safety of equipment as well as subordinates, and became adept at managing manpower and spare parts. Based on my performance, I was promoted to Section Engineer of the Raw Mill Department
- Section Engineer – Raw Mill Department (Duration: 1 Years)
- As Section Engineer, I took the lead in several key maintenance activities, focusing on preventive and breakdown maintenance for critical equipment within the raw mill section. I regularly monitored the condition of equipment, ensuring optimal performance and aligning with production targets.
Key Responsibilities and Achievements:
- Oversaw the operational condition of raw mill section equipment, including like roller press supplied by M/S thyssenkrupp polysius,Material Handling equipments like Belt conveyer, Chain bucket elevators, Steel cord Belt bucket elevator, Belt, Drug chain, Scrapper Reclaimer Rotary Air lock Air slides pirocess fans, Blowers Pollution control Equipment like dust collecters, Bag house, C.F silo, Static separetor etc
- Managed the walk-by checklist for all equipment and continuously monitored production output, power consumption, and MTBF.
- Successfully improved the MTBF of the raw mill section from 15 hours to 50 hours, enhancing reliability and minimizing downtime.
- Increased the raw mill's production output from 250 tons/hour to 310 tons/hour through technical modifications and improvements.
Based on my performance in the Raw Mill Department, I transitioned to the Mechanical Planning Department as a Planning Engineer
- Planning Engineer – Mechanical Planning Department (Duration: 2 Years)
In my role as a Planning Engineer, I led the teams responsible for lubrication management and condition monitoring across the entire plant. I also managed the plant’s mechanical spare parts inventory and contributed to plant reliability by analyzing and addressing equipment failures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Led the Lubrication Management team to ensure compliance with the plant’s lubrication schedules and optimally maintained all plant machinery.
- Managed Condition Monitoring, including vibration analysis, non-destructive testing (e.g., UT, MPT, Shore Hardness), and oil analysis for gearboxes and hydraulic systems.
- Conducted regular reviews of oil analysis reports and managed the necessary corrective actions for equipment abnormalities.
- Analyzed and reported on plant stoppages, generating MTBF reports and conducting Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) for equipment failures.
- Ensured the availability of critical mechanical spares by managing stock levels, creating purchase requests, and following up on purchase orders through SAP.
- Monitored monthly maintenance costs, including workmen resources and services, and created service requests and purchase orders using SAP.
