CAREER SYNOPSIS

I have 20 years of experience in media, PR and corporate communications. Apart from my current job at the Times of India, and previously with The New Indian Express and The Week, I have written regularly for Frontline, The Associated Press and The Economic Times.

I started my career as a sub editor (November 2000) and have worked in senior editing and reporting positions, as assistant news editor and principal digital features writer. At my first job at The Week, I was in charge of the foreign news desk. I am also interested in policy, gender, environment and socio political issues. I have strong writing and editing skills.

When I worked for national award-winning PR firm MD Niche (starting in September 2014), I managed a five-member media team for Kochi Muziris Biennale, the biggest art show in India.

  • Went on to work as senior consultant for MD Niche’s corporate office in Thiruvananthapuram, where we did PR and corporate communications for top government, PPP and private ventures, such as Kerala Academy for Skills Excellence, Technopark companies, HLL and Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, among others

  • For the Cochin Chamber of Commerce & Industry, I produced a quarterly magazine on the trading and business history of the state
