Started learning classical vocal at the age of 7 years under the privileged exclusive tutelage of Dr. Sukanya Prabhakar and has completed junior, senior and vidwat exams(2005) from Karnataka Music board.

Under the strong guidance and encouragement from parents Smt. Indira and Late Sri. Keshavamurthy, Annapurna has thrived in various stages and given performances through the years.

Recieving strong guidance from school music teacher Vid. Sudhamani, Annapurna has sung numerous invocations, performed stage music-dramas and sung for dance performance also.

After a brief hiatus with health issues, Annapurna bounced back to music learning and teaching with encouragement from Vid. B K Jayalakshmi, founder of Kalyani Sangeetha Shaale (KSS), and also given performances as part of KSS.

At present, Annapurna is working as classical music vocal teacher in GVCA Samstha, Hennur, since September 2021, handling junior and senior students, guiding students for performance, and encouraging to take exams and excel in them.

Gave performance in iskcon temple, Gudalajara, Mexico through which many students enrolled to learn Carnatic classical music from the beginning.

Given a 3 hour lecture-demonstration in Gudalajara Music University about Indian Classical Music.
