• Demonstrates knowledge and application of the HMC mission, vision, and values
• Carry out preventive maintenance and repairs of firefighting equipment's installed in the hospitals and accommodation complex such as fire extinguishers, fire hydrants, hose reels, sprinkler systems and component equipment's, ensuring accurate and full documentation of every activity
• Assist the Fire and Safety manager and/or Supervisor in the preparation of materials to be used in lectures and demonstration for the hospital staff
• Responsible for implementation of safety procedures relating to his own work and that of helpers that maybe assigned to him
• Write material requirements of jobs off parts catalogues and working drawings
• Must be able to work thru diagrams and working drawings
• Must be able to work independently with minimum of supervision
• Complies with HMC policies and procedures, and in particular infection control, safety and quality management.

• Inspect buildings or building designs to determine fire protection system requirements and potential problems in areas such as water supplies, exit locations, and construction materials
• Inspect facilities or sites to determine if they meet specifications or standards
• Direct the purchase, modification, installation, maintenance, and operation of fire protection systems
• Direct equipment maintenance or repair activities.

• Ensuring that the mechanical work done as per the drawings and specifications
• Ensure the material quality
• Checking the bevel angles of plate edges
• Ensure the quality of fit up and release it for welding
• Ensure that the welding dept
• Is correctly following up the WPS
• Ensure the quality of welding
• Release weld joints for NDT and verify the result.
