Reading Books , Ramayana

Jay Siya Ram - It is difficult to express the divine feeling , I felt after reading Ramayana. I love entire Ramayana but there are some points which had an everlasting impression on me.

  • The birth of Bhagwan Sri Ram and his brothers : I felt very happy when Bhagwan Sri Ram and his brothers were born. I can’t express my feelings at that time. I had even skipped some initial chapters to read about the birth of Bhagwan Sri Ram , Bharata ji , Lakshman ji and Shatrughana ji.
  • The fatherly love of king Dashratha : He was reluctant to send Bhagwan Sri Ram to protect Maharishi Vishwamitra’s ritual but finally on insistence of Maharishi Vishwamitra he decided to let him go. When Queen Kaikaiye used her boons to send Bhagwan Sri Ram to Vanvaas, he became too weak to even speak properly and lost his senses several times. This was one of the saddest moments in Ramayana for me. He finally died due to his grief and the curse he had recieved.
  • Relationships : The relationships in Ramayana between Bhagwan Sri Ram and Lakshman ji, Bhagwan Sri Ram and Mata Sita , Bhagwan Sri Ram and Bharat ji, Bhagwan Sri Ram and Hanuman ji is too difficult to be described by a mere mortal like me. Even if the entire earth becomes my page and all the oceans of the earth my ink , still I won’t be able to describe this relationships.

(i) Bhagwan Sri Ram and Lakshman ji : The love , respect and devotion of Lakshman ji towards Bhagwan Sri Ram was divine , pure, unconditional and transcendental and immesurable. The love of Bhagwan Sri Ram for Lakshman ji too was infinite and uncoditional. Wherever Bhagwan Sri Ram , Lakshman ji too accompanied him. Bhagwan Sri Ram would’nt even take his food without him. He even accompanied Bhagwan Sri Ram to forests and took care of all his and Mata Sita’s needs.
