The Service Order sub-system is the heart of CRIS system. It maintains the
Customer database (CDB) which is accessed by several other systems in CRIS. The main functions of Service order systems are:
• Edit and rate service orders
• Reformat, update and store account and billing information
• Create transactions for the customer billing system.
Account related inputs to this application originate primarily from three source :
• Customer service order generated by the SOLAR & SONAR systems.
• Directory updates from Q West Direct.
• Supplemental input from Bill and Order Supporting System (BOSS).
NAB
There are many modules wherein NAB applications were built like CAMS (Current Account Management System), CASB (Customer Account Savings Bank), LOIS (Leasing One Integrated System), AXIS (Amalgamated eXchange Input Subsystem), Ebobs (Electronic Branch Online Business System), TP (TeleProcessing), TN (Rewrite of Nonvalue and Enquiries). They use Strip file wherein multiple bank systems manage realtime balances for customer accounts (transactions done by a customer in any way either POS Bank, online and in any number of transactions in a day for a particular account) gets recorded and stores in IMS database used in Banks. Always a 24hr transactions will be getting recorded in the file and kept.
CBA
• Common Transaction Switch (EFTPOS) - The primary objective of this application is to process all online POS, ATM and POS in Point of Banking (POB) transactions. Transactions can be initiated Logically/Physically/ATM from CBA/OFI/POB terminals.
• CTS receive all the Credit and Debit Card Transactions that CBA owns, when initiated through EFTPOS, POB and ATM channels. These transactions are authorized, settled and reconciled with the customers and merchants. CTS also acts as a switch when the authorization is required from OFIs.
