Responsibilities

Part of project Reporting & Analytics team, my core responsibilities are as follows

• Help the client with smooth transition from existing AS-IS BI landscape to their future landscape.
• Defining & designing architecture for the intermediate and future BI landscape including technologies such as BW/4HANA, Native HANA, S/4HANA Embedded Analytics, SAC, SAP IBP etc..
• Lead consultant for designing and defining migration process for BW on HANA systems to BW/4HANA systems including integration, interface & authorization matrix designs.
• Successful implementation of BW/4HANA Readiness checks on clients existing BW on HANA environment.
• Collecting, defining & designing of reporting process architecture for the clients AS-IS reporting and analytics applications in order to migrate them to future BI landscape.
• Development & implementation of various POCs on existing BI applications on new SAP BW environments including tools like BW/4HANA, Native HANA, S/4HANA Embedded Analytics, SAC.
• Conducting workshops on S/4HANA embedded analytics with client including various aspects such as standard Fiori apps, their enhancement and customization with CDS views, and integration with SAP BW/4HANA and SAC for complete operational, strategic and managerial reporting overviews.

• Mettler Toledo Some of my general key duties and responsibilities include 1.Collect and translate business and project reporting requirements into sustainable and efficient solutions and act as Technical Lead- Enterprise Analytics & Reporting for SAM,SVC & Finance workstreams.
• 2.Use extracted data from SAP or other non-SAP platforms to design and build interactive, global reports and dashboards to track KPIs and business trends.
• Closely monitor and check the accuracy and completeness of data.
• 3.Continuously improve the process of updating existing reports and dashboards and find new ways to speed the process of gaining insights from the data.
• 4.Drive and lead discussions with GPOs as an representative of analytics organization to find best solutions for analytics and reporting platforms for SAM,SVC & FIN workstreams.
• 5.Train end users to use reporting dashboards and reports properly and effectively.
• 6.Provide ad-hoc data analysis and data visualization, to find new opportunities for process improvement and to drive business process decision making.
• 7.Perform data profiling of large data volumes and numerous master and transactional data objects.
• 8.Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
• 9.Work closely with management to prioritize business and information needs.
• 10.Ensures a "knowledge-sharing" culture by effective communication and documentation.
• 11.Maintain effective relationships with internal team members, business and project process teams, and IT application teams in international teams within Agile & SCRUM framework methodologies.
• Technical key activities in my role include 1.Native HANA CVs(graphical/SQL),Table function, reusable scalar functions, Analytical privileges, stored procedures, calculated columns ,input parameters, hierarchies etc.
• 2.XSA development in SAP Web IDE with containers for database module developments.
• 3.S/4HANA embedded analytics with CDS (both DCL & DDL), virtual data models(VDM) views such as basic, composite, interface, associations, extend and consumption views.
• 4.Fiori analytics with SAP Fiori Launchpad Apps such as Query Design, Query Browser, View Browser & Analysis Path Framework Modelling.
• 5.Also working with OData services to expose CDS views data and also provide data to Fiori UI5 launchpad applications.
• 6.Trouble shooting experience using Plan Viz & database performance tuning including optimizing HANA IM Views , SQL Scripts , Stored Procedures.
• 7.Data provisioning to CDS Entities with Table Import Configurations & SQL.
• 8.Data provisioning to SAP HANA & BW/4HANA landscape with SAP SLT,SDA,SDI/SDQ, KINME ETL tools & also establishing to & from communication between BW4/HANA and MS SQL/Oracle DBs.
• 9.Working on mixed scenarios with Native HANA and BW/4HANA modelling with eclipse IDE platform for development of data flow objects such as InfoObjects, data source, DTPs, Transformation, ODSOs, ADSOs, composite providers & queries on top native HANA CVs as well as BW data persistency, making sure all flows are harmonized and have star schema approach to let BW/4HANA system act as data warehouse for our reporting platforms.
• 10.Working with BW hierarchies, navigational attributes, transitive attributes, data flow objects & open hub destinations, expert/start/end routines developed in ABAP as well as SQL programming.
• 11.Working and managing BW security objects to achieve data level as well as user level control ANA,Y,MENU,VOD& B roles 2/3 mechanisms.
• 12.Working with automated scheduled Process Chains to achieve near real time data via BW/4HANA & Native HANA systems for reporting platforms.
• 13.Data visual analytics using SAP Analytics cloud including input controls & linked analysis, SAP BOBJ & Tableau along with SAP BOBJ platform content & security administration.
• 14.Implementation of POCs using python & KNIME/MS SQL DB integrated with SAP HANA, BW/4HANA systems for advanced analytics activities.

• Part of Global Plan Analytics Team working for J&J Consumer Supply Chain which provides various analytics and business solution to functions such as Supply Planning, Demand Planning, S&OP Operations and Inventory Management.
• Working closely with Planning teams & BPOs to understand business on market basis and provide solutions and recommendations using data mining & data science algorithms, reporting visuals.
• Working precisely for North America Global Plan Excellence & Analytics team.

• Defining models and creating documentation as a baseline of business requirement.

• Identifying the significant SAP data tables required to replicated into SAP HANA with help of SAP functional business experts using ETL, SAP SLT, SAP SDA,SAP MDX/DXC providers, SDI & SDQ flowgraphs.

• Creating schema, procedures, table functions, analytical privileges & packages which forms as baseline of data in SAP HANA.

• Configuring required system & object privileges in HANA with BODS & SAP Admin teams.
• Identifying & Design of Attributes, Measures & Hierarchies based on business requirements.

• Creation of Attribute, Analytics & Calculations views in SAP HANA.
• Design SQL script based Calculation views with 1/3 input parameters, calculated columns & SQL functions for complex business requirements.

• Part of core development team focusing on end-to-end implementation of SAP HANA with 2 SAP HANA implementation projects concluded during the tenure. Post implementation, working as SAP HANA Developer within Enterprise BI & Analytics team focusing on data modelling for major business critical reporting & analytics applications.
• As SAP Native HANA developer, worked with scripting languages such as SQL, ABAP, Javascripts. Extensively responsible for developing well performing information views such as attribute, analytic & calculation views using both graphical & SQL based approaches. Responsible for building operational workbooks & dashboards on top of Native HANA data models with SAP BOBJ platforms specifically Crystal Reports for operational reporting & SAP Design Studio for dashboarding. Along with core development responsibilities other tasks include import & export of data models from one system to another, data validation of raw data tables replicated from ECC systems, monitoring data migration activities, log maintenance along with integration and system testing of reporting & analytics applications. Part of business analytics team supporting technically to deep dive with GPOs to gather requirements and develop architectures for all reporting & analytics applications.
