• Project Description: Informatica is an on-premises, web-based tool designed for data analysis and integration. Once installed, it provides an Analyst URL for access. The system consists of various services, including default services, and manually created ones. Our team currently manages the Analyst Service, BG Service, and Search Service. To set up the Analyst Service, two other services are required: MRS (Model Repository Service), which stores data, and DIS (Data Integration Service). Administrators are responsible for creating services, managing users and assigning privileges and permissions.The Analyst Services focus on data profiling and cleansing to ensure data quality, while the Search Service uses Solr for indexing and searching data efficiently. The Business Glossary (BG Service) is a key component that involves the creation and management of business terms, policies, and categories. These glossaries help define business concepts and rules across an organization. Data Stewards are responsible for creating and managing these terms, policies, and categories, working with stakeholders to ensure the glossary meets business needs. Stakeholders review and approve business terms and policies, while Owners oversee the entire glossary without being directly involved in its management.
