- I worked as a company trainee in private companies from 1976 to 1978.
- I joined the Chennai Port Trust in 1978 and retired in 2015.
- From 1978 to 1982, I looked after the maintenance and operation for four years.
- Offshore handling plants, i.e., dumper house, conveyors, stackers, and reclaimers.
- From 1982 to 1989, operation, maintenance, and spare parts procurement of forklift trucks, it varies in capacity from 3 tons to 25 tons as a supervisor grade 2.
- From 1989 to 1996, I looked after the operation and maintenance of container handling plants, off transfer cranes, ship loaders, and top-lift trucks as supervisor grade 1.
- From 1996 to 2005, I was responsible for the operation, maintenance, and spare parts planning of the payloader and forklift trucks, as well as deploying the plants in material handling as an Assistant Engineer.
- From 2005 to 2014, operation and maintenance, and spare part planning of the marine loading arm and fire hydrant pump of 500 HP capacity, and replacement of 20" dia and 14" dia oil pipelines for a length of 3,000 meters.
- Preparation of the marine loading arm specification and tender document preparation as an Assistant Executive Engineer.
- Maintaining the pump room and pipeline for water supply to the entire Port Trust premises and quarters.
- Execution of development activities through tender and tender.
