Skills

Metabolite Profiling & Enrichment

RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

  • I have completed Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, under the Supervision of Dr. Vineeta Tripathi (Principal Scientist) CSIR-Central Research Drug Institute, Lucknow.
  • Ph.D. Thesis title “Identification, cloning and characterization of genes involved in wedelolactone biosynthesis in Eclipta prostrata (L.) L.”
  • I worked on medicinally important plant Eclipta prostrata, which has diverse groups of secondary metabolites.
  • My Ph.D. research work based on enrichment of wedelolactone (marker compound) with in the plant using transcriptomic, metabolomic and biotechnological approaches.
  • To study the biosynthesis of wedelolactone, we did metabolic and transcriptomic profiling of Eclipta prostrata plant and potential biosynthetic route was designed for identifying important genes.
  • Regulation of wedelolactone biosynthesis in response to heat stress has been studied in Eclipta prostrata.
  • Contributed to 2 published papers; 2 manuscripts under review.
  • Collaborated with molecular biology, bioinformatics, and phytochemistry experts.
