Description:

My research focuses on advancing recombinant protein production using E. coli as a host system. In our study, we uncovered histone modifications associated with Vibrio cholerae infection and demonstrated the role of a bacterial deacetylase, VcCobB, in deacetylating eukaryotic histones.

Furthermore, we optimized high cell density culture conditions and implemented an efficient scale-up strategy using chemically defined media. By refining cell lysis and protein purification techniques, we achieved maximum protein yield while minimizing production costs. The recombinant protein was thoroughly characterized, culminating in comparative analyses of enzyme activity and potential applications.
