Represented the KIIT University at the National Moot Court Competition and was awarded the Best Memorial. The proposition of the moot court competition was based on various aspects of Criminal Law, application of the Code of Criminal Procedure, and Indian Evidence Act. It also focused on the amendments in criminal law concerning Sexual offences against women which were introduced in 2013. It dealt with offences like Voyeurism, Stalking under Section 354 of the Penal Code. However, the moot question throughout the competition was based on the framing of charges under the Code of Criminal Procedure
This was my first moot on Criminal Law and dealt with the pre-trial stage. This gave us an overview of the procedures followed in a Criminal Trial
I am an avid reader of novels including romance, crime, history and many other genre. I have loved the work by Khaleid Hosseini in The Thousand Splendid Suns. This book brings out the hardships of two woman, one of who is an illegitimate child and the struggles they face after marrying the same man. The prevalence of polygamy in Islam and its impacts in the villages of Afghanistan. The book brings out how the two women fought the odds to escape the atrocities subjected by their husband and saved their child from facing the same.
