- Designed and implemented Traffic Plan Processor and Rate Control microservices as part of Flow Control to regulate XStore ingress traffic to XArchive, reducing throttling by 95% and improving system stability.
- Designed the Validate Requests workflow for Flow Control to eliminate redundant storage footprint in XStore and validate archive inventory at defined intervals, reducing COGS for ~68 PB of cold storage data while improving data reliability and availability.
- Designed and implemented multi-queue write infrastructure for load generation and performance testing. Achieved 10K TPS per queue and scaled to approximately 1 billion requests per day, validating system throughput and scalability.
- Enabled dSTS-based authentication between XArchive and customer blobs, implemented custom MSAL retry policy to enhance resiliency against transient failures, and added production-grade instrumentation (metrics, logs, alerts) for monitoring and faster incident response.
- Identified and resolved a P0 idempotency bug in Short Plan Batcher and Combiner services. Refactored batching logic to ensure correctness, maintain backward compatibility, and prevent data inconsistencies.
- Migrated functional test infrastructure from Azure Storage Emulator to Azurite for Service Tenant and contributed enhancements to the open-source Azurite project.
- Built infrastructure to create Geneva Actions for Service Tenant. Mentored an intern to develop the initial POC and scaled it into a production-ready feature. Now widely used by developers and service engineers to trigger controlled and auditable management operations.
- Founding engineer for the XArchive IDC team; responsible for team ramp-up, onboarding, and mentoring new engineers while establishing engineering best practices.
