  • Synthesis and characterization of metal halide perovskites (MHP) nanocrystals (NCs) with different dimensionalities (0D, 1D, 2D) by colloidal synthesis
  • Synthesis and characterization of III-V semiconductor nanocrystals with a variety of compositions and structures
  • Mechanistic elucidation of the optical properties of NCs (MHPs and III-V) and fabrication of light-emitting diodes (LEDs)

Layered Perovskites and Applications:

  • Synthesis, characterization, and study of the effect of spacer ligands (both aliphatic and aromatic) of hybrid 2D layered perovskites (RP/DJ/ACI phase) and perovskitoids, especially for lead-free systems
  • Optical property elucidation and optoelectronic applications [perovskite solar cells, photodetectors, and light emitting diodes]

  • Synthesis of hybrid single crystals (micrometre-size crystals containing organic and inorganic counterparts)
  • Structural characterization by powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), etc.
  • Optical property measurements of nanomaterials and microcrystals by (UV-vis absorption spectra, photoluminescence spectra, quantum yield measurement, low-temperature spectral analysis, etc.)
  • Synthesis of fluorescent materials with appreciable PLQY, which are applicable in LED technologies
  • Conversion of light energy to electrical energy through different photovoltaic devices such as perovskite solar cells, and photodetectors
  • Measurement of thermal conductivity for hybrid perovskites
