- Every day I plan different simulation process like hardening, tempering, normalizing, aluminizing, solution annealing, anti-flaking, subzero treatment, precipitation hardening and stress relief for different alloy grades as per customer specification.
- To run the NADCAP authorized furnace independently & Interfaces with customer representatives on product and metallurgical quality issues.
- Technical support to the plant to optimize metallurgical routes and process/product (EAF/Induction furnace-LRF-AOD/VOD-VD-ESR /VAR-Ingot casting/CCM) adaptation.
- Communicates with NABL accredited laboratory service customers to define problems.Provide technical direction and support to all members of the organization at various levels with respect to thermal processing of automotive, aerospace & defense components.
- Daily review and disposition of process deviations identified during incoming material, in-process, and final inspection
- Oversee and manage R&D department for large thermal processing operation
- Participate in continuous improvement activities including Kaizen events and 5s
- Manage all technical details and provide support to quoting and business case generation for thermal processes to maintain profitability and viable revenue streams for supplier of heat treatment supplier to automotive, aerospace and industrial industries
