Key Responsibilities:

• Managing Regulatory Matters with regards to Electricity Act, 2003 at SERC, APTEL, Arbitral Tribunals, District Court, High Court, Supreme Court etc.
• Briefing to Senior Counsels of High Court and Supreme Court with respect to regulatory matters.
• Contract management including Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), Bidding methodologies and regulatory framework.
• Developing strategic Business plans in sync with PPA aimed at maximization of revenue & profit.
• Managing all PPA related commercial activities including Billing, Receivable management, PPA obligations, Payment security mechanism etc.
• Authorized by Board as single point contact for management of long term PPA. Ensuring robust effective communication management under ambit of contractual provisions to take care of future disputes.
• Policy Advocacy, Relationship building with corporations, bureaucracy, ministries, regulators and other Govt. Authorities. Key stakeholders CEA, PSPCL, MOP, MOEF&CC, CPCB, GOP etc.
• Provide guidance to plant operation team on regulatory issues impacting revenue.
• Reviewing of power sector policies, sensitizing the actual impact of regulations/draft regulations/ regulatory orders and drafting & submitting comments on draft regulations/ amendments to regulations impacting TSPL.
• Team management and upgrading to ensure achievement of objectives within organizational framework.

Key Responsibilities:

• Long term Case-1 PPAs (4620 MW Mundra Project), Solar (40 MW Bitta Solar Power Plant) management.
• Strategic planning for optimization of realization under long term PPAs with GUVNL (2000MW) & HPPC (1424MW) and maximization of realization through unscheduled interchange.
• Estimation of daily generation of power plant in coordination with O&M department, Discoms and Load dispatch centers (SLDC, RLDC etc.)
• Power sale invoicing under long term PPAs with GUVNL (Thermal & Solar) & HPPC and to achieve and ensure prompt payments.
• Compensatory tariff and Change in Law claim calculations, Tracking Change in Laws during construction and operation periods and getting it approved through regulatory route.
• Reviewing of power sector policies, sensitizing actual impact of regulations/draft regulations and providing assistance to regulatory team in understanding the practical aspects of regulations and help them draft comments.
• Working in close coordination with legal team and providing inputs in drafting various petitions.
