Roles and responsibilities:

• Attending vendor inspections all over India for pipe manufacturing companies, pipe fittings, structural, pressure vessels, and equipment companies.
• Offshore inspections, hookup activities, crane load tests (SAT), CO2 snuffing systems (SAT), subsea pipeline spool installations, barge bumper installations, and riser line installations.
• Oversaw the planning and scheduling of inspections, and managed clients and vendors. Maintained accurate and up-to-date records of inspection visits, reports, and documents.
• Inspection of piping, structural fabrication and erection, inspection, and painting activity in offshore platforms and onshore projects (surface preparation, coating thickness (WFT, DFT)).
• Process stage-wise inspection at the fabrication stage for pressure vessels, heat exchangers, tanks, skids, scrapper traps, etc. Verifying dimensional check (OCF, orientation, total length, water level, internal and external fittings), weld preparation (groove angle, root openings, joint alignment, joint cleanliness, type of joint, consumable insert, preheat), cross-verification of electrodes, welder identification, post-weld heat treatment (PWHT), PMI, hydrostatic test, etc., and review report for the same.

• Inspect the stringing and welding execution as per the alignment sheet.
• Carry out daily inspections for weld joint fit-up, welding parameters, weld visuals for mainline welding, and tie-in welding.
• Witnessing manual ultrasonic tests, magnetic particle tests, and dye penetrant tests.
• Experienced with clad and non-clad vessels, columns, reactors, towers, etc.
• Conversant with construction (ASME Sec. VIII) and maintenance (API 510) code requirements.
