As the Program Manager at IndiaBioscience (IBS), I oversee various initiatives and responsibilities to promote scientific knowledge and engagement. My role includes managing IBS's website content and ensuring that it remains current, relevant, and accessible to our audience. I collaborate closely with website developers to enhance the site's functionality and user experience.
In addition to web content management, I conduct all webinars hosted by IBS, bringing together experts and participants from various fields to discuss cutting-edge scientific topics. I also produce engaging and informative podcasts, reaching a wider audience and fostering a deeper understanding of scientific concepts.
One of my notable achievements at IBS is pioneering a science art competition. This competition blends creativity with scientific inquiry, encouraging broader participation and interest in the sciences.
Currently, I am working on launching a series of courses designed to provide in-depth knowledge and skills in various biological disciplines.
Furthermore, I am responsible for growing the digital presence of IBS. This involves developing and implementing strategies to increase our online visibility and engagement across multiple platforms, ensuring that IBS reaches and connects with a broader audience.
I have done my PhD from the CSIR- Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology (CSIR-IGIB), New Delhi with Dr. Vinod Scaria. My research looks into understanding the Genomics of Intellectual Disability. I have worked with patient samples, looked at epidemiological data and have experience working with Illumina NGS sequencing and microarray technologies during my PhD. I have shifted from being a complete wet lab experimental biologist to a bioinformatician, and it’s very exciting to learn new things.
Skilled at working independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Launch of products on e-store: Responsible for listing products, involved in negotiating prices, designing details and products, and negotiating designs.
I was a member of the India team. This was through the India Alliance selection programme. We wanted to respond to the pandemic by producing some videos, which are a combination of documentary, drama, and animation, as part of the project. In India, we worked with Meghna Gupta, a filmmaker who guided us through the process.
My film's description (created in collaboration with another colleague, Sreshtha): According to research, youth were hit harder by the pandemic than adults, so we asked them what kept them going and how they clung to hope in such trying times. Listen to the youth because their voices, experiences, and viewpoints matter
