As the Director of Engineering at ParkPlus, I lead the B2B backend, Hardware, ML/AI, and DevOps teams, managing a team of 30-40 people. My core responsibilities include maintaining a stable and efficient infrastructure to support large-scale operations. Last year, I oversaw the migration from AWS to GCP, which resulted in cost savings of approximately 1-2 million dollars. I regularly sync with the business team to understand ground requirements and align our direction to drive organizational growth.

Here are some major projects I’ve worked on, with a few still ongoing:

• Innovated and implemented an in-house data warehousing solution, managing a staggering 1800+ TB of data daily
• Leveraged cost-effective strategies within Athena and S3, enhancing scalability while minimizing expenses
• Pioneered the development of an internal event management system pivotal for user profiling
• This system facilitates personalized offerings and content tailored to individual user behavior through dynamic rule-based decision-making, resulting in notable enhancements in user engagement
• Conceptualized and executed an architecture for content recommendation in our social community product, contributing to a significant increase in daily active users (DAU) within the community
• Helmed the AI/ML/Hardware division, driving the creation of proprietary products like ANPR and PGS
• These solutions, crucial for our B2B operations, boast exceptional accuracy levels, bolstering our offerings in the market
• Recently assumed leadership of the B2B vertical, tasked with addressing multifaceted operational and hardware challenges

As an Engineering Manager at ParkPlus, I managed a team of 15-20 people, fostering growth in a dynamic environment. I conducted multiple tech sessions to enhance team skills. Enhanced overall team productivity with continuous training and mentoring of junior engineers.

• For the growing business, I designed and implemented the Fastag issuance and recharge service, a core aspect of ParkPlus' operations
• I ensured the system's stability to handle 10-15k requests per second with minimal latency and optimized database costs to improve overall API performance
• I utilized the latest technologies to make the system stable and reliable for consumers
• Spearheaded the expansion of the Fastag issuance and recharge sector, achieving a daily throughput of 7-8k issuances and establishing integration with numerous banking partners
• Currently overseeing a Fastag recharge volume exceeding 70k plus transactions
• Crafted the foundational architecture for both issuance and recharge processes
• I established the dealer service from scratch to support business growth and led core DevOps projects to stabilize the infrastructure
• As the leader of the DevOps and backend teams at ParkPlus, I implemented numerous infrastructure optimizations to reduce overall DevOps costs.

• I built the microservices architecture from scratch and designed and implemented the core parking system for a consumer-facing app
• I worked on and stabilized multiple core microservices, significantly improving overall system latency
• I led a team of 7-8 freshers and established the core foundational tech platform at ParkPlus
• Additionally, I designed and developed a central reporting system to analyze business data
• I managed the core backend architecture, ensuring scalability and stability.

• Working in an early-stage startup, responsible for end-to-end product development from design to implementation of complete products
• Logistics Automation: Designed and implemented database design, backend services, APIs, and dashboards to automate inbound and outbound logistics, including assignment, pickup creation, and tracking updates for orders and returns
• Integrated with all major logistics partners for each process
• Product Management System: Designed and implemented a product management system and created dashboards for internal teams with access control across three levels of hierarchy, utilizing single sign-on for streamlined access
• Third-Party Vendor Integration: Designed and implemented backend systems to integrate and manage third-party vendors
• This included managing their accounts, orders, and sending notifications for the services/orders they were associated with
• Cloud Deployment Automation: Set up, deployed, and automated project deployment on the cloud, ensuring end-to-end server maintenance.

• Notification System Development: Designed and implemented a notification system from scratch, capable of sending 100,000 concurrent notifications to users based on their profiles within seconds
• This system significantly increased the Daily Active Users (DAU) on our app
• API Caching System: Centrally designed and implemented an API caching system to improve the latency of REST APIs
• The system efficiently handles caching for listing APIs, resulting in a tenfold increase in overall web performance
• Multi-Language Search Engine: Designed and implemented a search engine supporting multiple local languages from scratch
• Utilized Elasticsearch to serve content in real-time and implemented a trie data structure in Redis for efficient autocomplete results
• Developed a core algorithm for fuzzy matching with 95% accuracy
• Asynchronous Request Handler: Designed and implemented an asynchronous request handler to reduce the load on synchronous threads
• This handler efficiently executes heavy tasks in the background without disrupting the system
• Video Processing System: Designed and implemented a video processing system in multiple languages using the core FFMPEG library
• Parsed video frames to attach selected text themes, developed an algorithm to merge multiple videos with custom themes, and enhanced videos based on user-selected themes
• Cloud Deployment Automation: Set up, deployed, and automated project deployments on the cloud, resulting in reduced server costs.

• Static Memory Detection Implementation: Designed and implemented a static memory detection system to identify excessive memory usage in coding assignments
• Utilized the Boost C++ library to create the system, developing multiple complex regex patterns to detect 13 types of static memory declaration patterns in user code, leveraging core language fundamentals for pattern detection
• Recursion Detection System: Developed a recursion detection system to enforce coding pattern constraints by restricting the use of recursion in specific use cases
• Cheat Detection System: Created a cheat detection system from scratch to identify code similarities between different users, ensuring the integrity of coding assignments
• Three-Level Web Crawler: Designed and implemented a three-level web crawler from scratch
• This crawler fetched raw data from multiple sites and passed it to a cleanup process developed using Boost C++
• This system expedited the process of business data gathering and analysis.
