  • Operations management during corporate insolvency process for the two telecom operator in India:- Worked on both corporate insolvency engagement in telecom sector in India, both of these are the very first companies from this sector which has gone into insolvency proceedings. Basic motive of the engagement was to protect the market value of the company minimizing losses to lenders, creditors, vendors
  • Key Role: Led escalation management team which included escalations from Employees, Vendors, Creditors, Electricity boards, Landlords, TRAI, DoT and other Legal/financial entities. Vendor management includes Vendor selection, contracting, vendor onboarding, delivery management and payment processing. Worked on cash flow and receivables part during the insolvency proceedings.   • Process simplification & digitization PMO engagement, Sri-Lanka: Led process simplification and digitization PMO engagement for a leading telecom operator in Sri-Lanka. The engagement entailed as-is assessment of the entire order to activate cycle (across various channels retail, web & self-care) to identify improvements and non-value add areas. The KYC processes across the Order to activate (O2A) cycle were redeveloped based on improvements and overall time for KYC was reduced from one week to under 3 hours of the same day.

Responsibilities also included performing ad-hoc analysis based on business requirements.
  • Commercial excellence- Revenue analytics & Dashboard- Major Telco Operator in Africa: Worked on implementing a revenue analytics dashboard for a leading GSM operator in Afghanistan. My role was to fix KPI’s, provide key business inputs in the development phase as well as user testing before the Dashboard is shared with client.
  • Offshore shared service model for Revenue analytics, Benin, Congo, Afghanistan: Key member of the team that designed and implemented an offshore model for leading telecom operators in Afghanistan, Benin and Congo. The solution encompassed handling data from a wide variety of OSS/ BSS systems in different file formats and databases. The engagement required implementation of an automated solution for running revenue analytics reports as per their desired frequency.
  • Due Diligence Process Reviews: Key team member on an engagement for a leading DTH operator in India. The key aspect of the engagement involved revenue and active subscriber base validations to the financial results published in public domain, interviewing various stakeholders, validation of critical IT reports, logs and review of business continuity plan.
  • CRM Process Optimization & Customer Lifecycle Improvements, Cameroon: Key team member that provided end to end process review of the Roaming business for a leading telecom operator in Cameroon. The primary objective of the engagement was to enhance Roaming revenues and optimize partner payouts. The engagement involved review of preferential rate agreements, comparing current traffic patterns and benchmarking prices against other operators. Upon completion of this engagement, led team to implement the recommendations to ensure realization of all revenue enhancement / cost optimization opportunities identified.
  • SOP documentation, Africa & Middle East: Key team member on a standard operating procedure documentation project based on eTOM process framework for one of the largest operators in Middle East and Africa with services offered across Enterprise, Retail and Wholesale. Responsibilities included assessing the current process and control landscape across 21 OpCo's, identify enhancement opportunities, develop controls and prepare detailed documentation of procedures and ensuring all revenue enhancement controls and aspects are covered.
  • Deferred revenue computation, Benin: Led project for a leading telecom operator in Benin to provide assistance in validating deferred revenue computation process and to identify gaps in accounting for deferred revenue between the finance and billing methods. The project involved independent computation of the deferred revenue, identify and rectify the process gaps resulting in inaccurate reporting of revenues.
