I joined as “Scientific Officer” in the Radiochemistry Division, Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), Mumbai, India, in 2014 after successful completion of one-year training (PG-Diploma) in the “Orientation Course in Science and Engineering (OCES).”

  • Conducted research in areas such as Electrochemistry, Electrocatalyst, Hydrogen evaluation reaction (HER), Actinide chemistry, Analytical chemistry, Green chemistry, Deep eutectic solvent, Catalyst synthesis, and Sensor development.
  • Worked on the novel methodology development for destructive analysis of metal compounds.
  • Investigated the comprehensive Redox and Molecular speciation of actinides in presence of different aqueous soluble chelates and deep eutectic solvents media using multi-technique approach.
  • Initiated the research works on the designing the actinide specific novel deep eutectic solvent for dissolution, separation, and analysis of diverse actinide matrices.
  • Liquid-Liquid extraction of actinides using hydrophobic deep eutectic solvents.
  • Developed new green and sustainable methodology for direct sequestering and analysis of f-elements.
  • Probed speciation of unusual oxidation state of actinides.
  • Initiated work on reagent free electrochemical methodology development for oxidation of f-elements for mutual separation.
  • Advance materials synthesis such as 2D-MXenes, functionalized graphene oxide and their application in electrochemical sensing of actinides and toxic metal ions.
  • Developed Membrane based technology for sensing lanthanides and actinides using Potentiometry method.
  • Currently working on Crystal growth of metals from non-aqueous medium
  • Hydrogen evaluation Reaction (HER) using novel electrocatalyst
